Stephanie Linus Named Spokesperson For Queen Of England’s ‘Young Leaders’ Awards Campaign

Chosen alongside the likes of South Africa’s Archbishop Desmond Tutu, the Queen’s Young Leaders Awards discovers, celebrates, and supports young people from every corner of the commonwealth to transform their own lives and the lives of others around them.

Exceptional young men and women  aged 18-29 who are taking the lead in their communities and using their skills to transform lives are invited to apply for a Queen’s Young Leaders Award, in honour of Her Majesty The Queen.

The Award winners will receive a unique package of training, mentoring and networking, including a one-week residential programme in the UK during which they will collect their Award from Her Majesty The Queen. This will support winners to develop the amazing work they are already doing in their communities.

Stephanie Linus is responsible for creating awareness in Nigeria and hopes that Nigerian young people will apply in droves to win the awards.

“The Search is on right now in Nigeria to find the next Queens Young Leader! It’s a really exciting opportunity. I am very sure our young Nigerian rising leaders will step up to the plate and make us proud,” said Stephanie Linus in a statement to the press about the awards event.

As well as awarding inspirational young leaders, Queen’s Young Leaders Grants will be made to organizations in selected Commonwealth countries that can show they are improving the lives of young people. The vision is to provide opportunities for young people to learn new skills, enter employment and give them a voice in their communities.
