Olu of Warri is dead.

OLU of Warri, Ogiame Atuwase II, may have passed on Friday, according to sources last night. Investigations together with online reports said the Olu recently suffered brain injury after a fall from the stairs of his residence in Warri.
He was also reported to have suffered stroke, and was due to undergo surgery at the Reddington Hospital in Victoria Island, Lagos, where he was taken before he passed on.
His body, according to report may have been flown to Warri for commencement of relevant burial rites. Checks last night at the Olu’s palace in Warri confirmed the report, but said it was not official yet.

Dangote reduces cement price to boost consumption

Dangote Cement, Africa’s largest producer of the building material, cut prices in its home market of Nigeria in an attempt to boost cement consumption and compete with imports, Bloomberg reports.
The price cuts to its 3X cement brand by $30.23 (6,000 naira) per metric ton will still allow Dangote to achieve strong returns, said chief executive Onne van der Weijde in a statement on Thursday.

Egyptian billionaire wants to buy an island to house refugees

Egypt’s 3rd richest man, Telecoms billionaire Naguib Sawiris, has disclosed that he plans to purchase an island off Italy or Greece and develop it to house hundreds of thousands of refuges fleeing from the conflict in Syria.

“Greece or Italy sell me an island, I’ll call its independence and host the migrants and provide jobs for them building their new country,” Sawiris said in a tweet on Tuesday that has since gone viral.

Naguib, who spoke to Agence France Press (AFP) after publishing his tweet, believes his idea is feasible and insists that he is serious about his proposition.

Newlyweds Photobomed by Naked Bike Riders


Blair Delson and Ross Cohen were celebrating their big day last Saturday in Philadelphia when they were taken by surprised by approximately 3,000 uninvited guests.
 Turns out, the newlyweds had staged their official wedding photos on the course of the annual Philly Naked Bike Ride, which is an event that features exactly what its name implies:
A great deal of nude people riding bicycles.
"We saw them and I sprinted in my heels and my wedding gown and decided to get in on the action. We thought it was hilarious," Delson told The Associated Press, making it clear she and her new husband decided to go with the birthday suit-themed flow.

Charles Kumi Gyamfi (1929 – 1 September 2015) was a footballer who was the first African player to play in Germany, when he joined Fortuna Düsseldorf in 1960.
After retiring as a player he became a coach, and career highlights include leading Ghana to the African Cup of Nations three times, making him the most successful coach in ACN history.This record has since been equalled by Egypt's Hassan Shehata.
In January 2008 he publicly lamented the modern obsession of players with money rather than the love of the game.He passed away in September 1st 2015.
